Supervisor roles and responsibilities

Every postgraduate student must have an eligible Principal Supervisor allocated to them and recorded in CamSIS. The Principal Supervisor is normally assigned when an offer of admission is made to a successful applicant.

Some students may have 'other' supervisors to support their research, and students studying for research degrees are allocated an Advisor.​

​The role of the supervisor in four main areas is outlined below:

• postgraduate admissions

• current postgraduate students

• probationary PhD review

• examinations (research degrees)
