Degree Committee for the Faculty of Physics & Chemistry


Courses available in the Faculty include

   PhD (research project examined by thesis, 3 or 4 years)

   MSc (as for PhD, but 2 years)

   MPhil by thesis (as for PhD, but 1 year)

   MPhil courses (taught examinable elements and research project, 1 year)

   MASt taught postgraduate courses in Astronomy, Materials Science, Physics (1 year) - also in Maths

We also host, and participate in, a number of EPSRC-funded Centres for Doctoral Training - see the Graduate Admissions website for details of studentships (type 'EPSRC' into the search).
